Category combination offers is a sales combination technique in which you can set up offers within a category or between different categories.

The Category combination offers extension provides you 2 different buy x and get y techniques.
Ex: Within the same category and between category

We are going to cover 2 types of different category combination offers in this extension for opencart:

Buy X And Get Y from Same Category ( When you want to create offers within same category )
Buy X From Category & Get Y From Different Category ( When you want to create offers within different category )

Login into admin and go to extension – modules –Buy X And Get Y from Same Category.
You will see a offer list page.
Click insert new offer button and it will open a new page to insert an offer.
Keep status as enabled.
Give some unique name to offer. This offer name also shows up in order totals if applied.
Now you must enter the category on which condition should be applied. Ex: Cameras, Laptops, etc
You must enter the number of products customer should purchase from above category.
Next you must also enter the number of products customer should get in offer.
Now you can select the discount type Ex: Percentage or Fixed.
You can enter the discount amount for the offer.
You can connect this offer with some description if you have added in promotion offer pages.

Click save button and offer is saved in front end.

Login into admin and go to extension – modules – Buy X From Category and Get Y From Different Category
You will see a offer list page.
Click insert new offer button and it will open a new page to insert an offer.
Keep status as enabled.
Give some unique name to offer. This offer name also shows up in order totals if applied.
Now you must enter the category on which condition should be applied. Ex: Cameras, Laptops, etc
You must enter the number of products customer should purchase from above category.
Next you must enter the offered category on which offer will be applied. Ex: Mp3 Players.
You must enter the amount of quantity free.
It needs to be different from condition category.
Now you can select the discount type Ex: Percentage or Fixed.
You can enter the discount amount for the offer.
You can connect this offer with some description if you have created offer pages.
Click save button and offer is saved in front end.
