Choose Free Gift Products Based On Product / Category Add  is an Opencart extension helps you provide your customers with gifts based on their purchase.
You can set up free gifts based on category products and products added.
Multiple free gift offers can be set up at same time.

How to use ?

Step 1: How to create gift products in admin ?

  1. Login into admin.
  2. Go to catalog –  products.
  3. Click (+) Insert New button to open a new form for product.
  4. Enter gift product details.
  5. In data tab there is option called Gift Product above Requires Shipping Option.
  6. Make this option as Yes if you want to make this product as gift product.
  7. Click save.
  8. Gift product has been successfully added.

Adding a gift offer based on categories / products added to cart

  1. Login into admin.
  2. Go to Extension – Modules – Gift Based On: Category / Product Add.
  3. Click Insert new offer on top right.
  4. Read the offer as if you are reading a letter.
  5. Add the categories and products on which condition should be applied.
  6. Select the maximum gifts customer can purchase.
  7. Add the gift products to show in this offer rule.
  8. Save the settings.
  9. Gift offer has been created successfully.

How is will work now ?

  1. Once you have created an offer, you are ready to test the offer.
  2. Go to your store front.
  3. Add the product on which you have applied the condition.
  4. Make sure you have added require quantity of product same as you have set it in the offer.
  5. Now you can go to shopping cart page.
  6. Message about the offer will appear.
  7. Also You can add the gift product to cart and proceed to checkout.
  8. In case, if you had went directly on checkout without adding gift product.
  9. You will still see the message about the offer.
  10. Please confirm order to make sure the gift products are saved in email and orders.
  11. Testing is completed successfully.
